Happy New Year!!! 2009

Friday Faves.......

#1. The BEST THING EVER....is that I had my 6 month check-up with my Oncologist this week...let me tell you.. I was so nervous.....you have no idea how hard it was to walk in that office...BUT....everything is good and I don't have to go back until July......thats SUMMER!!!! Yeah!!!!!!

#2. I think this is such a wonderful idea....http://aliedwards.typepad.com/_a_/ Allie Edwards has challenged us/you to pick a single word to live by this coming year.....

I m still trying to pick one.....But I like so many..I think I've narrowed it down to 3....in no particular order.....

Live your Life........I know, thats 3 words....but very powerful...
Courage........because I need that..AND it has special meaning to me.
Embrace.......because its a beautiful word.

#3. Santa was very good to me this year....he heard me ask/plead for a new camera. I am now the proud MOM of a Canon XS. I even attended my first camera class last night! Gotta learn all of those fancy settings!!! Ooo la la...I just LOVE so far!!!! Thank-you Santa... xoxo

I took a few Christmas pictures just playing around with some of the settings...... This is my family tree with all of the kids ornaments on it.....Its got a warm glow... (probably because it was 83 that day!!!!)

#4. I found an old geometry Composition book in a drawer and altered it....I am journaling something in it everyday for the entire year... I am including projects, ideas and inspiration, what nots ....and random ramblings... :) .........thats me!!!

I was inspired to do this because of a quote.... one of my favorites.....(wish I could remember where I saw this)

"A year from now, you'll be glad you started today"

#5. Riley!!!!!Always a favorite because he just gives me the sweetest faces when ever I look at him... He is also the most photographed member of our family :) I think this is out of focus but I just love his little expression!!!

Here is my new Blinkie!!! I really thought that was funny!!!!

#6. Chinese Checkers!!!!!!!!!!! I was the reining champion in our family for the longest time..but not anymore.... The kids have taken over....
