WOW!!! Its November..can you believe it? This has been such a busy and fun week for me...
Friday Favorites..... there are so many this time....
#1. I am proud to be an American..We have a new President...and its time for a change....
My 2 daughter's were both able to participate in this historic day...My older daughter got to vote for the first time!!!!! And my younger daughter got to work at the polls (for13 hours).... very exciting....#2. How cool is it to be a part of helping to raise 4.5 MILLION DOLLARS towards Breast Cancer Research......and all I had to do was walk.... 60 miles in 3 days.. I raised almost $5000! Now that the walk is over, I am trying to journal and remember all the wonderful memories from the weekend... The weather was COLD in the mornings and WARM in the afternoon...Gorgeous compared to the 106 degree heat index from last year.
#3. We got to watch the sunrise over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge as we walked by....
#4. I met some of the nicest people along the way.... These are the members of Team Survivor from Tampa Bay....they are all Breast Cancer Survivors...and they race dragon boats.... I am VERY interested in this really cool sport....... I could see myself doing this....hmmmm..
#5. Pit Stops.... VERY welcoming for weary walkers...
#6. Jewelry...lots of jewelry... We were lucky enough to be handed beads, bracelets, pins, more beads, candy, water, gatorade, more candy..(Halloween weekend)....Look what someone was handing out!!! Hehheheeeee..I have tried this wine and its pretty good! I think its great that they are supporting our wonderful cause!!!! Its too cute!
#7. Proud Walking in Sunshine Team member.....and yes girls...I was the one making the point on the toilet paper at every porta potty I stopped at.... courteous as always.....
#8. And speaking of my AMAZING team...here we are all together for the first time..We have walkers join from all over the US. I know there is a better picture out there somewhere..but this is good for now. These are some of the most incredible women I have ever met. I am privledged and honored to know them.
#9. My Favorite......Being a part of something GREAT...To give of yourself for something bigger...... powerful stuff.......
